Our Foundation
In Florence, we have everything we need — land, people, and God's grace. Matthews Farming Community Development is a platform to remind every family, every neighbor, every person in this community: you have the power to build something — starting in your own backyard.
We combine the timeless wisdom of growing your own food with modern tools and inspiration to show what's possible when self-reliance meets faith and community rises together.
"The land does not lie. What you plant, you will harvest."
What We Stand For
Your backyard is your first step to freedom. We teach families how to grow food, reduce grocery bills, and build resilience through the soil — starting with simple raised beds and scaling to full urban homesteads.
God gave us hands to work and minds to build. We believe self-reliance isn't just practical — it's spiritual. When you provide for your family, you honor your Creator and strengthen your neighborhood.
From financial literacy to mental health, from discipline to purpose — we develop the whole person. No community rises higher than the people in it. We invest in minds as much as in soil.
Florence deserves to see what it can become. We organize, advocate, and show up for each other. Real change starts block by block, family by family, with people who refuse to wait for someone else to do it.

Powered by AI
Using AI technology, we take real photos from Florence neighborhoods and transform them into powerful visual stories — showing empty lots as community gardens, showing families what their backyard could produce, showing a community what it looks like when it rises together.
Take photos of real Florence streets, yards, and community spaces as they are today.
AI technology reimagines each image — showing gardens, clean spaces, thriving community infrastructure.
Short videos combine the before and after with your message — planting the vision deep in people's hearts.
